James M. Kemmerling, MD, FACS

• Native of Wisconsin

• Graduated Magna Cum Laude from the
  University of Wisconsin-Parkside, with a degree in Biochemistry.

• Graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin, in Wauwatosa, WI, in 1986.

• Completed an internship in General Surgery at Wright State University, in Dayton, OH.

• Served in the United States Air Force from 1991-1994. He was a Staff Surgeon with the 416th Medical Group at Griffiss AFB, in New York.

• Practiced medicine in the Kenosha, WI area, from 1994-1999.

• Joined the staff of NEW Surgical Associates in 1999.

• Board Certified in General Surgery. Certified by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.

• Medical Director of the Bariatric Surgery Center at Aurora BayCare

• Primary interests include Laparoscopic, Vascular, and Bariatric Surgery, Advanced Laparoscopy including Nissen Fundoplication, General Surgery, and Sclerotherapy.

• Dr. Kemmerling and his wife Karen have four children and reside in Green Bay.
