• Graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine, in Washington, D.C.

• Completed an internship in surgery at Georgetown University Medical Center.

• Completed a residency in General Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL.

• Finished his fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center – Ferguson Clinic.

• Joined the staff of NEW Surgical Associates in July 2002.

• Board Certified in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery.

• Fellow of the American College of Colo-rectal Surgeons
   

• Primary interests include Colon and Rectal Cancer, Colorectal Surgery, Inflammatory Bowel Issues, Anorectal Disorders, Anal Incontinence, and Rectal Prolapse.

• Dr. Ruggles and his wife Debbie have three children and live in De Pere.
